I don’t even know where to start with this one. This was the first time I had been to ICONA Diamond Beach in Wildwood for a wedding. I have been going down to Wildwood all my life and I was really excited to get back down there! The weather was playing games with our hearts all day. When the girls were getting ready, it was beautiful out. Once Lia and Mike were about to do first look, the wind decided to kick it up pretty hard. We did first look and then a few portraits. Once family portraits came around, we got hit with some rain which forced us indoors. Right as we started, the rain stopped. The ceremony was about to start after the skies cleared up. What happened? It started to rain again, probably the fastest ceremony I’ve shot. About 7 minutes flat. Once the outdoor cocktail hour was set up it decided to start coming down again. All of this being said, Lia and Mike had smiles on the whole time. We got thrown some pretty wild curveballs through the day, but it ended up being an absolutely amazing wedding. The reception was insane. Being introduced with light sabers. Getting drenched in whiskey, Lia got yelled at for dancing barefoot ontop of the bar, then again for dancing on a table, then a chair lift, then a piñata at the end of the night. The after party consisted of bonfires on the beach, Jameson, corn hole, smores, and a piñata that went down in a blaze after being body slammed by the bride. Wait…did I forget to mention WE ran into the ocean? Yea, that happened.
